Giuliani Seen as On Attack (posted February 25, 2000)

A recently-released CBS News/New York Times survey reveals that New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is seen as devoting more time attacking Hillary Rodham Clinton than explaining what he would do. Forty-eight percent of those sampled felt he was attacking her while only 28 percent felt he was explaining what he would do as Senator.

In contrast, the perceptions of Mrs. Clinton are the opposite. Only 16 percent believe she is spending more time attacking Giuliani while 68 percent feel she is explaining what she would do as Senator.

The poll was conducted Feb. 16 to 22 with 1,440 registered voters in New York State.
